THE 2ND INDIA-ARAB FOREIGN MINISTERS’ MEETING

The 2nd India-Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi on January 31, 2026, adopted the Delhi Declaration 2026 to deepen strategic, economic, and political ties.

    • Deepened Economic Ties: The declaration sets a foundation to strengthen partnerships in energy (including green hydrogen), trade, investment, digital technologies, agriculture, and space.
    • Zero-Tolerance on Terrorism: Both sides reinforced a shared commitment to fight terrorism and transnational crime in all forms.
    • Regional Stability & Palestine: Discussions highlighted the need for peace in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and Libya, with India reaffirming its support for a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue.
    • Strategic Cooperation: The meeting emphasized strengthening maritime security, defense cooperation, and cultural exchanges.
    • Multilateral Reform: Both sides called for urgent reforms of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to reflect current global realities, emphasizing a fairer, representative, and multipolar world order.
    • Institutional Framework: The 2026-2028 Executive Program was adopted to ensure structured, regular interactions between India and the Arab League states.
