The Vibrant Village Programme aims at comprehensive development of the select villages in mission mode and through multi-pronged strategy, by identification and development of key economic drivers based on local, natural, human and other resources.

- Creation of opportunities for livelihood generation
- Promotion of tourism and culture.
- Improving border security
Features:

- It is a centrally sponsored scheme.
- It will provide funds for development of essential infrastructure and creation of livelihood opportunities along the northern land border.
- Time period: 2022-23 to 2025-26.
- It will cover Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Ladakh.
- Vibrant Village Action Plans will be created by district administration with the assistance of gram panchayats to ensure 100% saturation of centre and state schemes.
- Development of growth centre on Hub and Spoke model through promotion of social entrepreneurship, women empowerment etc.
- Development of sustainable eco-agribusinesses based on the concept of “One village-One product” through community based organizations, Cooperatives, SHGs, NGOs etc.
