QUOTATIONS AND CAPTIONS

  • Integrity, transparency and the fight against corruption have to be part of the culture.
  • While caution is being exercised everywhere, the sale of this drug in India is unregulated, largely irrational, and seems to be increasing exponentially.
  • Regulators need to step in to ensure that the abuse of drug stops, and that these health concerns are amplified among both physicians and patients.
  • In a country where post-marketing surveillance tends to be limited, and mental health issues are largely under-reported and stigmatised, we need to raise awareness and prevent an epidemic of neuropsychiatric adverse effects, especially in young children.
  • India stands at the crossroads of innovation and regulation in the implementation of digital public infrastructure. Private firms bring innovation and speed of execution due to their autonomy, but they may be operating in a regulatory vacuum.
  • Digital infrastructure should be seen as basic infrastructure, where the state has a critical role to play, and an instrument of industrial policy akin to roads, airports, and electricity.
  • The restoration of peace in Europe and a new compact between Russia and the West is the most preferred outcome, for it makes it easier to accelerate India’s economic growth and pursue the goal of a secure Asia.
  • Blended finance leverages development finance, multilaterals, and sovereign funds to mobilise commercial capital in areas perceived as high risk.
  • India’s failure to ensure quality universal delivery of public goods like education, health, nutrition, clean environment, and urban living spaces compromises its quest for an inclusive society and economy, with concomitant fallout for productivity and wages that can lead to lives of dignity.
  • As India’s fintech landscape continues to experience unprecedented growth, it is not only transforming the financial sector but also advancing sustainability.
  • India’s fintech ecosystem per se has seen significant growth initiatives that support sustainable development goals, enhance financial inclusion and foster green economic activities.
  • Indian diplomacy is soaring to new heights. As nations around the world eagerly welcome Indian businesses and forge strategic alliances, India is experiencing an unprecedented wave of global goodwill and influence not seen in years.
  • Economic inequality has persisted for long and the present global economic scenario clearly indicates it will last at least for the foreseeable future.
  • Measures such as community monitoring and the publication of data and menus could help reduce corruption and mismanagement of resources in the midday meal programmes.
  • Corruption remains a major problem in the midday meal programme across the country. A systematic review of the quality and quantity of food products and the provision of necessities like cooking gas should be done rigorously enforced by the government.

ESSAY TOPIC

  • Smallness adores and adorns itself – greatness is humble.

50-WORD TALK

  • India’s fintech sector is leading the way in advancing sustainability through the development of novel financial services that promote social and environmental objectives. Given the favourable regulatory environments and ongoing technical progress, the fintech industry is in a strong position to increase its influence on sustainable development in India.
  • Forget West Bengal, it’s the constitutional collapse in Manipur that’s a fit case for imposing President’s Rule. There’s resounding evidence of the CM’s failure in Manipur. The state government has also let the persistent violence become a sectarian issue, promoting a divisive atmosphere that is not conducive to peacekeeping efforts.
