- The Ministry of Ayush will host the Yoga Connect 2025 summit on 14th June 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, as a lead-up to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY).
- The event is being organized by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), the apex yoga research body.
- Yoga Connect will follow a hybrid format, with over 1,000 in-person participants and virtual attendees from around the world.
- Experts from countries like Bahrain, the US, the UK, and South Korea will join the summit, highlighting yoga’s international appeal.
- A major highlight will be the release of the ‘Yoga Prabhava’ report, a national study assessing the impact of IDY over the past decade.
- Three knowledge products will be unveiled:
- Decadal Impact of Yoga (E-book)
- Scientometric Analysis of Yoga Research
- Bhartiya Vriksha Vaibhavam, a booklet on native Indian trees.
- Thematic sessions will cover topics such as Yoga for NCD prevention, women’s health, Yoga-Tech, Yoga commerce, and impact assessment.
- Renowned yoga personalities such as Swami Baba Ramdevji, Acharya Balakrishnaji, HR Nagendraji, and others will participate.
- The summit marks 10 years of India’s global yoga movement, initiated with the UN’s recognition of June 21 as IDY in 2014.
- Yoga Connect 2025 reaffirms yoga’s role in promoting health, unity, and global well-being, in line with India’s vision of “One Earth, One Health”.

The context:
The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (MoA&FW) organized the National Conference on Agri Stack: Turning Data into Delivery 14th June 2025, New Delhi. The conference served as a strategic platform for senior officials from the Centre and States key stakeholders to deliberate on the progress, challenges, and future roadmap for the implementation of Agri Stack under the Digital Agriculture Mission (DAM).
The Key Highlights:

- Opening Address: Secretary (Agriculture) emphasized using technology for transparent, farmer-centric governance and urged States to link Farmer Registries with updated Records of Rights (RoR) for improved scheme delivery.
- Keynote Speech: Secretary, Department of Land Resources (DoLR), stressed the importance of digital land records and Aadhaar seeding for accurate farmer identification and noted rural income challenges.
- Agri Stack Overview: Additional Secretary (Digital), MoA&FW, presented Agri Stack’s integration with key schemes like PM-KISAN, PMFBY, and KCC, highlighting georeferencing and Unified Farmer Service Interface (UFSI) standards.
- New Services Announced: Upcoming features such as Farmer Authorization Systems and Digitally Verifiable Certificates (DVCs) were introduced to enable secure, selective sharing of land and crop data.
- MoUs Signed: Agreements were signed with Maharashtra, Kerala, Bihar, Odisha, and the PSB Alliance for seamless digital access to credit using Farmer Registry-linked authentication.
- Special Central Assistance (SCA): ₹6,000 crore was allocated—₹4,000 crore for Farmer Registry (including legal heir systems) and ₹2,000 crore for Digital Crop Survey—on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Technical Session Discussions: Focus on building State-level digital infrastructure, addressing data quality gaps, and using remote sensing, AI/ML, and automation to improve compliance with DCS standards.
- State Presentations: Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka shared their Agri Stack use cases—covering registry enrolment, e-procurement integration, and innovative AI-led platforms like Mahavistaar AI.
- Digitally Verifiable Credentials (DVCs): Introduced as Kisan Pehchan Patra, allowing authenticated land/crop credentials linked with DigiLocker and auto-revoked upon land mutation.
- Unified Grievance Redressal Portal: Launched with OTP login, multilingual interface, audio upload, and representative authorization for land-related dispute resolution.
- AI-powered Solutions: Showcased chatbot built on Google Gemini for multi-language farmer support and pilots for facial authentication, crop identification, and backend code optimization.
- Closing Dialogue: The event ended with an open session for State feedback, enabling peer learning and reinforcing collaboration to scale up digital agri-governance.

Union Minister Calls for Collaborative Push for Pradhan Mantri Matsya SampadaYojana (PMMSY), Emphasizes Upscaling Fisheries Production and Productivity through Innovation and Technology at Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Meet 2025 in Indore.
The Key Highlights:

- India’s fisheries sector has achieved a remarkable 9% annual growth—highest among agri-allied sectors—benefiting nearly 3 crore livelihoods.
- Government schemes such as the Blue Revolution, FIDF, PMMSY, PM-MKSSY, and KCC have infused ₹38,572 crore to modernize and expand the sector.
- India is now the world’s second-largest fish producer, with inland output rising by 142% since 2013–14 to reach 147 lakh tonnes.
- States were urged to improve utilization of FIDF funds, coordinate implementation with ICAR, and expand coldwater, ornamental, and saline aquaculture.
- The potential of Amrit Sarovar for Rohu and Catla farming, and the need for robust cold storage, transport, and market linkages, was emphasized.
- Over 300 fisheries start-ups are being supported for innovation in digital tools, value addition, and post-harvest technology.
- The Department of Fisheries aims to expand the culture area from 55 to 70 lakh hectares and double productivity from 5 to 10 tonnes/ha.
- A cluster-based, value chain approach—from seed to market—was recommended, along with leasing policy reforms and skill development.
- Technology adoption such as RAS and Biofloc, and integration of traditional knowledge with innovation, was promoted for sustainable growth.
- The national conference served as a key platform for collaboration among inland States and UTs to align regional actions with national priorities for inclusive fisheries development.
About the Pradhan Mantri Matsya SampadaYojana (PMMSY):

- It aims to bring about the Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of the fisheries sector in India.
- PMMSY was introduced as part of the ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ package with an investment of Rs. 20,050 crores, the highest-ever investment in this sector.
- The scheme is being implemented in all States and UTs for a period of 5 years from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25.
- In order to facilitate access to institutional credit, fishermen are provided with insurance coverage, financial assistance and a facility of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) as well.
