ABOUT THE INITIATIVE

Central Sector Scheme for Skill Development |
Objectives of the Scheme:

- To develop AYUSH specific skilled human resource.
- Capacity building of existing skilled human resources.
- To promote Export of Services.
- To develop supporting structure for AYUSH health services.
Scheme Component:

- Short term courses on various AYUSH skills (up to 3 months duration).
- 30 days practical training shall be the essential component in all the skilling short courses. For the courses of duration longer than one month, remaining period of the training will be classroom training (through online or physical mode) or self learning. Stipend will be given only for 30 days practical training.
- Separate modules for the purpose of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be developed by the National Institutes (Nis) under Ministry.
Mode of Implementation:

- The scheme will be implemented on pan India basis through the Nodal National Institutes under Ministry of AYUSH. Proposals from eligible institutes for conducting training for skill development in AYUSH sector would be invited by Nodal National Institutes / Ministry of AYUSH.

Central Sector Scheme for the Establishment of AYUSH Super Specialty Hospitals/Day Care Centres for Medical Tourism |
The proposed scheme also intends for creating more opportunities for capacity building and skill development in Ayurveda, Yoga & other Traditional systems of medicine sector creating more AYUSH job opportunities and also nationwide authentic data generation in Ayurveda, Yoga & other Traditional systems of medicine sector.
Objective:

- To encourage private investors to invest in AYUSH sector through Establishment of World Class, State of the Art Super Specialty Hospitals/ Day Care Centres of the systems recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council (IMCC) Act, 1970 or Homeopathic Central Council (HCC) Act, 1973 for promoting export of medical value travel services including services supplied to foreign consumers in India by providing interest subsidy.

- The scheme will be implemented in Green Field Mode on Pan India basis.
- The scheme is applicable for the construction of new hospitals only.

Central Sector Scheme for the Establishment of AYUSH Grid |
AYUSH Grid will enable Ministry of AYUSH to generate real time data covering all aspects of AYUSH systems including services, products, education, production, market size, demand supply mapping etc. which will enable policy makers, regulators, researchers. Few important objectives are as follows:

- Digitization of data of patients.
- Data of services as well as products.
- Learning management system.
- Capacity building of AYUSH Practitioners/ paramedics through online facilities.
- Sharing of real time data amongst the stakeholders as per the requirement.
Key projects undertaken so far:
Ø Mobile apps: Ayush Sanjeevani, yoga locater
Ø Customised IT courses for Aayush professionals
Ø AYUSH next: for information exchange with career guidance, interactive forums, quizzes, etc.

NAMASTE Portal
(National Ayush Morbidity and Standardized Terminologies Electronic) |
It provides information about stan”ardi’ed technologies and morbidity codes along with dedicated data entry module for updating morbidity statistics in consolidated form as well as real time basis.

SMART (Scope for Mainstreaming Ayurveda Research in Teaching Professionals) Program |

- It is aimed to boost scientific research in priority healthcare research areas like Iron deficiency anaemia, obesity, etc through Ayurveda Colleges and hospitals.
- It will motivate teachers for taking up projects in designated areas of healthcare research and create a large database.
- It has been launched by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS).

- A platform for ayurvedic practitioners to report their innovative practices.
- It will help create a database by collaborating with interested practioners.
- Nodal agency: Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS).
