THE CONTEXT: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is launching Bharat Start-up Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) Initiative (BHASKAR), a digital platform under the Startup India program, to centralize and streamline collaboration within India’s startup ecosystem.

About the Bharat Start-up Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) Initiative:
BHASKAR will act as a bridge between startups, investors, mentors, and stakeholders, promoting seamless interaction across different sectors.
- The platform will provide immediate access to critical tools and knowledge, helping startups make faster decisions and scale efficiently.
- Each stakeholder will receive a unique BHASKAR ID, ensuring personalized experiences and efficient collaboration across the platform.
- With powerful search features, users can easily find relevant resources, partners, and opportunities, enabling quicker decision-making.
Driving India’s Startup Ecosystem Forward:
BHASKAR will serve as a hub for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, helping India’s startup ecosystem thrive. By facilitating access to key resources and partnerships, the platform is poised to drive growth, job creation, and innovation.
- It will also promote India’s global reputation as a leader in entrepreneurship, fostering cross-border collaborations and making India a more attractive destination for startups and investors.
BHASKAR key features:
- The aim is to build BHASKAR as the world’s largest digital registry for stakeholders within the startup ecosystem.
- BHASKAR will help in Networking and Collaboration, and help in smooth interaction between startups, investors, mentors, and other stakeholders.
- The platform will provide ‘Centralised Access to Resources’. The startups have easy access to important tools and knowledge, which will result in faster decision-making and more efficient scaling.
- Creating Personalised Identification: The stakeholders will be assigned unique BHASKAR IDS, that would ensure personalised interactions and tailored experiences across the platform.
- Enhancing Discoverability: BHASKAR platform will be equipped with powerful and advanced search features to help users locate relevant resources, collaborators, and opportunities.
- BHASKAR platform will support India’s Global Brand and help promote the country’s global reputation as a hub for innovation, which would further help collaboration between domestic and foreign players.
